About T2FAQ.com

Hi, my name is Jim Moore and this is my website: T2FAQ.com.

When I was diagnosed as a type two diabetic, I had questions, lots of questions.

While there are plenty of sites on the Internet that talk about Type 2 Diabetes, most only seemed to have bits and pieces of information, or the information they had was mixed in with information about Type 1 Diabetes.

While Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes can share some things in common (symptoms, complications, medications) they are definitely two very different diseases.  Why don’t I cover Type 1 then? It’s simple really, I don’t HAVE type 1 diabetes.

This site is dedicated to answering the Frequently Asked Questions of the newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetic from the perspective of a Type 2 diabetic. I’m not a nurse, dietician, doctor or endocrinologist. I’ve never been to medical school. Please keep that in mind when you read my articles. If you have (or think you might have) Type Two Diabetes, you need to see a physician qualified to treat diabetes. I’m sharing what I’ve learned and what’s worked for me. It might not work for you or be recommended by your physician.

My fasting Blood Glucose at diagnosis was 303 and my A1c was 10.0. Through diet, exercise and medications, I was able to bring my A1c down to 5.5 a mere four months later.

I hope to answer your Type 2 Frequently Asked Questions and help you bring your diabetes under control.
